The Bulldogs beat the CNE Rockets on Friday night by a score of 21-7.  Nick Burke was the first to kick an extra point and a field goal for the Bulldogs. Burke went 3-3 on extra points and just missed his field goal by a couple of inches.

Coach Schmidt said that the defense played aggressively and fast, and the offense was able to move the ball quickly.

The Bulldogs defense made an outbreak on Friday only letting CNE score once in the first half and shutting them out in the second. The defense got through the offensive line and put pressure on the quarterback numerous times.

Kellen Lynch had a great game throwing for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. He is now on the poll for Cincinnati’s player of the week. Also, the Batavia Bulldogs football team is on the poll for Cincinnati’s team of the week.

The coach said that the Bulldogs have had a great bounce back, the best that you could ask for after numerous quarantines not allowing some players to play.

He said that “The biggest mess-ups of the game were mental mistakes, the bulldogs had a touchdown called back due to a flag. The receiver was already gone for a touchdown.”

Coach Schmidt is hopeful that the Bulldogs will continue to secure victory throughout the season.
