The baseball season last year was, to say the least, very disappointing given that Batavia was unable to have one. Naturally, as a result of the cancelled 2020 season the hope and excitement for this year is incredibly high. With this new year comes a new field, a new team, and new opportunities. The Bulldog baseball players are extremely excited to get started, eagerly looking forward to catching some playtime after missing out last season and are all ready to get at their long and challenging schedule.

This season will mark a number of firsts for the baseball team, from the first time playing as a team on the turf field for the to the need to adjust to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and mandates which have drastically affected the team. With the increasingly temperate Spring weather, the Batavia community as a whole is undoubtedly excited to watch Batavia baseball hit, steal, pitch, and conquer the upcoming opponents on the season and do what they do the best: have fun.

Hopes and expectations are high and the Batavia baseball team is ready to play and have fun this long-awaited 2021 season, and the Bulldog community stands behind them rooting them on.
